As fashion fans, we all have different obsessions. Some with shoes, some with jeans. And I seem like to have developed an obsession with handbags without rushing into extremes of course. Let’s do a short evaluation of this summer’s handbags.
I’d better point out that each brand is welcoming us with the summer versions of hit or brand new bags of the previous season. After materials, patterns and color palette are reviewed for the summer, they take their places in the market -with new styles!
Alexander Wang
Wang is again at the center of attention with small changes in bags without disobeying its classic patterns.
Bottega Veneta-Chanel
Deciding to design straw bags, Bottega Veneta and Chanel are inviting us to the beach. I adored the straw braid of Bottena Veneta.
Givenchy
The season doesn’t matter for Givenchy. The brand strongly reflects its sharp patterned style thanks to Ricardo Tisci. Nightingale bag is the most popular one with its black and white stripes.
Louis Vuitton
Louis Vuitton is inviting us to the gym with cheerful colors. I admit that it attunes with the holiday destinations of celebrities.
Lanvin
It is the indisputable truth that Lanvin’s elegance has a different place among other brands. However, the models of the summer collection seemed a bit limited to me. They are over-classic. It depends on setting, though.
Alexander McQueen
The theme for the summer handbag collection of McQueen was the sea. Accordingly, the show was unforgettable. His handbags are in an excellent harmony casting a spell on us with their difference.
Burberry
It is possible to categorize those two models as classic and neo classic. My pick would undoubtedly be the grey one.
